Heber Springs, Arkansas, Wedding and Reception: Amber and Matt

It had to have been the hottest day on the face of the earth.  And, “No, I’m not exaggerating.”

In spite of the crazy heat, Amber & Matt were amazing to be with.  It’s not often that I get to spend the day with friends that happen to also be clients.

I LOVE working with brides and grooms that so completely have an appreciation for photography.  Especially in this case because Amber has modeling experience.  I could totally tell.  She rocked out her pics!!!

Starting off with some of my favorites.

This one below is towards the end of the evening.

The evening light (about 1-2 hours before sun set) is the most amazing light for photos.  If at all possible, I always try and get a few minutes with the bride and groom for a few portraits.  It never fails that those are always my favorite photos from the day.  Light is key in any portrait…I might even say it is THE MOST IMPORTANT factor of creating a beautiful image.  I would rather have great light than a specific location to shoot at because with great light any location will just about do and be a pretty amazing photo.

Some other highlights from the day.

My obsession with shoes.   Ooh La La!!!!

Amber had…. not one fabulous dress….but two stunning dresses.  This is the first one.

You can see the 2nd shorter, flirtier, dress hanging in the background…see the reflection of it in the mirror?

The ladies were all stunning!

These two little darlings were adorable.

Golf at the country club anyone?  Such devilishly handsome fellows!

Matt and his two boys.

Fun little part of the ceremony….

Amber and her Dad come down the aisle…

Get to the end of the aisle and there is Matt…

Matt and Dad had this little signal all planned….too funny!!!

Ceremony was quick.  Meaningful.  Very touching.

Then off to the party at this incredible place.  Check it out!

Annnnd a few fun shots from the hopping dance floor at reception.

One of the bestest cakes I’ve ever had (and I’ve had A LOT of wedding cakes)!!!!

Ending with one of the most perfect-est (yes that is a word I made up) shot ever to close out my blog post.

The reason I love this shot is that it was totally unplanned.  They were totally in the moment and just savoring some time together.

Thank you Amber, Matt and your wonderful, wonderful families for letting me be a part of your day.  I had a blast and look forward to seeing you again real soon!
